What is the average height?
In the U.S., the median adult man is about 5 ft 9 in (175 cm) and the median woman about 5 ft 3.5 in (161 cm). Worldwide averages vary by more than 20 cm between countries; see average height by country.
How do I compare my height with someone else?

How many cm is 5 feet 9 inches?
5 ft 9 in is 175.3 cm. Multiply feet by 30.48 and inches by 2.54, then add them. The feet to cm converter does it for any height.
Can you predict how tall a child will be?
